The Punzalan Family is one of the biggest Filipino clan here in the UK. There are 44 of us in the immediate family the last time we counted. Alfred (boy wearing red shorts and blue socks on the 1970’s photo 😊) the founder of Inihaw UK, started cooking Filipino dishes at the age of 16 when he arrived in London from Tarlac Philippines in 1987.  One of his favourite anecdote is that he did not even know how to boil an egg when he arrived in UK. Leaving Philippines at an early age meant that he missed out on being taught how to cook by his favourite cook, "Apung Delang" (his grandmother).

 

Inihaw’s mission is to introduce and establish Filipino cuisine not only here in London but the whole of United Kingdom. 80% of our current customers are non-Filipino, so we are getting there..

 

At the time of writing, our best seller is the Lechon Kawali. Our very own "Crispy on the outside Succulent in the inside" fried belly pork with authentic homestyle liver sauce (not Mang Tomas).  Alfred's Signature Barbecue Pork is quickly catching up as the customers favourite.
